An Akhal-Teke grazed beside her companion, a Shire horse. She had her ears foreward, alert and ready for anything. The Shire was more relaxed, concentrating on the grass before him. (I'll start making them longer when I get some stimulation)

The Akhal-Teke, Blaze, lifted her finely carved head and looked in the direction of the neigh. The Shire, Dobroi, ignored it, but Blaze started to trot around, her nostrils flaring.

The mare dropped her head and snorted, gazing evenly at Phantom. Her head shook, mane tossing from side to side. She took a bite of grass, lifted her head and watched the stallion with curiosity, wondering what he would do next.

Blaze suddenly broke into a jarring canter. Her forelegs were stiff, hitting the ground with thuds. She made a beeline towards Phantom, swerved suddenly, then circled around him, slowed to a trot, then stopped in front of him. Her head was high, and so was her tail, waving like a banner.

October snorted and loped towards the stallions sqealing warnning them that this was her pasture, whinnying and running behind the paint mare was Angel a thoroughbred filly, her head was racing back and forth with her long strides. April was going to make her into a champion racer when she grew up, just like her mother was.

Blaze turned to see the approaching mare and filly, stepping back. Dobroi, the old Shire gelding, turned and aud towards them but otherwise paid little attention, for he was now laying down in the shade of the tree. Blaze lowered her head slightly, in respect.
