Trudging along the driveway, came a slightly dented old blue ford. Hooked up behind it, was another slightly dented thing, but this thing housed a horse. Halting the pick-up, an aged women turned off the ignition and opened the door. Dropping the keys in her Wrangler jean's pocket, she glanced across the land, examining every detail. Meanwhile, a boy, sitting in the passengers' seat, released a tired sigh. Running tan fingers through his brown locks, the teenager opened the aged door and stepped out. Then, he came around to the dented trailer and looked in through the small window. Inside stood a frightened bay mare. The boy tried to sooth her, "Easy, girl. Calm down, we're there." Going to the back, he unloaded the, now-not-so-frightened, mare and gave her a pat on the neck. "See, that wasn't so bad." "Christopher, c'mon," said the elderly lady as she began to walk closer to the stable. The boy began to urge the bay mare into a slow jog as they caught up with her. When they reached the stables, Chris opened the door and led Dee inside. "Hello?" He called out as Grandma shut the door with a loud racket.

Drew looked up from the couch, he was enjoying the air conditioning and another book. When he saw two figures go up to the stables he dropped the book and headed outside to greet them. "Hello, I'm Drew. Slatefield. You guys are probably new here right?" He asked upon entering the barn.

"Yeah." Chris said quietly. Patting Dee on her muzzle he asked, "So, do you have a place where I can keep my mare? And if there is an open stall, how much is the boarding fee?" Sighing Chris thought about the fee, he needed it to be manageable and not sky high. His Grandma was in retirement and she wouldn't mind paying, but Chris wanted to prove he was independent and could do things for himself.

"Well, I'm pretty familiar with this place by now, bt I'm just a boarder too." His hand came up and ran through his red hair as his eyes looked up and down the rows of roomy, comfortable stalls. "Let's just find an empty one that's ready to go, shall we?" He strode up the aisle, found a stall ready for a horse, and beckoned them to come over.
